Of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. Daughter of the late William H. Brown II and Ora (Smith) Brown; beloved wife of the late Rev. Joseph Brundage, Sr.; loving mother of Christen Joy, Joshua Joseph, and April Jasmine Lynne; sister of Dan (Michael), Eileen (Howard), LaVerne (Ronald), Anthony and the late William H. Brown III; sister-in-law of Faye; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Friends received Monday, 4 until time of Remembrance Service at 6 p.m., at Morning Star Baptist Church, West Mifflin PA. Age 87, died on August 31, 2018, peacefully at her home in Squirrel Hill. Loving wife of 65 years of Edward; mother of Audrey Sussna and Ellen (David) Heyman; and proud grandmother of Andrea Heyman (Will Hall) and Ben Heyman (Courtney Paull). Sylvia earned a PhD in Curriculum and Supervision from the University of Pittsburgh and worked at several universities and colleges in the Pittsburgh area. She also was proud of working for the National Council of Jewish Women. Sylvia and Edward traveled extensively and spent yearlong sabbaticals in Tehran and Paris. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, in support of Sylvia’s passion for reading.

George was dearly loved by many.
