Margaret Olischar
Born December 24, 1921 Died July 14, 2018. Wife of the late Emil J. Olischar. Margaret is survived by her sons David Parrish, Mark Olischar, and Brian Olischar. Grandchildren Ben and Jessica Olischar, step grandson Mark (Kim) Tolan. And step great grandson Jacob Tolen. And her baby sister Esther Croushore. Also survived by nieces Diane Croushore Fritz, Carole Church (Daniel) Brudzynski and nephews Robert Minnerly, Dean Minnerly, Roger (Janice) Minnerly, William (Sandy) Church, and their extended families. Surly missed are Margaret’s late nephew Donald Croushore, her Sister’s Virginia Minnerly and Jean McPhee. Her Brother’s William Church and Ralph Church and their late spouses.
Margaret graduated from Bethel High School, Class of 1939. During W.W.II she worked for the U.S. Weather Bureau in Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Over the years she worked at several office Jobs, balancing the different hours and locations with her care of home and family. After some night school training in book Keeping she eventually worked for Arnheim and Neely Industrial Real Estate. She retired in 1987. Margaret was a very active member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Wilkinsburg for many years, then most recently with St. John Lutheran in Swissvale and Hope Lutheran Church in Forest Hills. Margaret was also a member of Wilkinsburg Women’s Club and East Boro AARP #602 including the 602 singers
