March 11, 1947 to December 1, 2018. Loving, dedicated daughter, sister, mother, and friend of many. Survived by loving mother, Marian D. Johnson; sister, Janet Johnson Rosser; loving children, Barry E. Thompson (April) and Alisha M. Vereen; granddaughters, Alexis Henry and Kara Vereen; great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Henry; and a host of family and friends who will all miss her dearly. Cynndie’s life will be celebrated Friday, December 7 from 2-4 at the Jeron X. Grayson Community Center, 1852 Enoch St., Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Of Oakmont PA, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on November 6, 2018. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a graduate of Albion College in Michigan and earned a PhD in Chemistry at Carnegie Mellon University. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Suzanne; and their daughter, Cyndi, and her husband, Brian Holland; he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Gibbon-Braun. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Longwood at Oakmont, in the Ballroom, 500 Route 909, Verona, PA 15147.
