Roman Torbochkin

Age 85, of Squirrel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Loving husband of Nina Torbochkina; devoted father of Leo (Rebecca) Torbochkin; grandfather of Arthur and Theodore Torbochkin; brother-in-law of Michael (Julia) Lvovich. Roman was a lover of travel and he enjoyed traveling all over the world. He was an avid downhill skier and swimmer. Services private.

Kenneth Isaacson

Kenneth Isaacson, of Scott Township, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the age of 94. Born at St. Mark’s Hospital in Manhattan on June 22, 1930 to Edna Roth and Irving Isaacson and raised in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn, NY, Kenny lived a long and varied life full of stories. He attended New Utrecht High School and Florida Southern University before graduating from Columbia University, where he studied literature. He told of encounters with friends of James Joyce, and of drinking with Dylan Thomas at the White Horse Tavern. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in West Germany during the Korean War. Upon his return, he traveled the country as the Vice President of Marketing for Standard Knitting Mills, and the world as a consultant to the Icelandic government, before settling in Pittsburgh to begin a long career in real estate management. He managed shopping centers in the greater Pittsburgh area for decades, and his commercial leasing accomplishments brought the first Marshalls and the first Panera Bread to Pittsburgh. He is predeceased by his sister Betty Crupnick and Jeffery Isaacson, his adopted son from his first marriage. He is survived by his loving wife and partner of 45 years, Elaine Preston, daughter Mariel Isaacson, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. To honor Kenny, the family encourages donations to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Judith “Judy” Babolin

Age, 77 of Penn Hills, died peacefully surrounded by family on December 22, 2024 at St. Margaret’s Hospital. Preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Loretta Stokes. Brother, Jack and her sister, Janeen Crivaro (Stokes) Judy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Robert A. Babilon.  She is also survived by her four sons and their families. Robert (Julie), Daniel (Annette); Daniel, Alexandria & Evangeline. Michael (Erin); Katherine, Emily. Matthew (Danielle); Gianna, Kenley & Ellison. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Stokes and many cousins, -nieces and nephews. Judy was an accomplished published writer. She enjoyed traveling. She spent many winters in Florida, summers camping in Pennsylvania and cherished her yearly vacations in Wildwood, NJ with her children and grandchildren. If you knew Judy, you probably felt like you were her favorite. She always had a way of making people feel special.  Friends  will be received at Rose Funeral Home & Cremation Services, INC. 10940 Frankstown Road. Pittsburgh, PA 15235 on Sunday, December 29 4-8pm. Funeral mass will be held Monday, December 30 at 10:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church- St. John The Baptist 444 Holy Family Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15239. Burial will take place at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Road Bridgeville, PA 15017 on January 2 at 10:ooam.

Juanita Frazier (Best)

Juanita Frazier (Best) of Penn Hills formerly of the Pittsburgh Hill District. Suddenly on December 14, 2024 she was called home. She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted and caring grandchildren, Tamera Boozer ,Tambra Smith-Bey, (Drew Bey) Charles Frazie Jr.  Jamie Frazier-Murray (Willie ) Charlene Benjamin ,  Steven and Jason Rickman along with many other relatives and friends visitation Monday, December 23 10 AM to 1 PM followed immediately Service at 1 PM at Rose funeral home and cremation Inc. 1940 Frankstown Rd., Pittsburgh PA 15235.

Iola Jean “Tina” Hunter Mollett

Mrs Iola Jean “Tina” Hunter Mollett was born July 4, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA.  Tina is survived by husband Robert, son Andre’ Hunter  (Kisha), stepkids, daughter Bobbi, and deceased are Robert Jr and Richard.  Tina is the beloved child of Virginia and the late George Tilley, sister to Denise and George Tilley, Torey Stevenson (Charles), Wendy Hall, Marci, Dawndra and Corey Jones, the late Virginia Lee Tilley and Robert Gillum.  Grandkids:  Shay, Demetrius, Ambre’, Dasia, Quinn, Amare’, and 8 great grandkids. Tina was a graduate of Mother of Good Counsel Elementary School, Homewood PA and graduate of Saint Anselm High School, Swissvale PA.  Tina enjoyed time with her girlfriends while working as a Nursing Assistant and then as a career change she attended Pittsburgh Beauty Academy and graduated with a cosmetology license as a beautician. In her early twenties Tina became attracted to Richard Hunter, that resulted in the birth of her son Andre Hunter.  Due to unforeseen circumstances eventually that relationship ended.  Tina kept  looking for her prince to be.  One special day Tina was out and about  and she noticed a young man which made her do a double take.  Tina thought to herself, hmmm, the king of my dreams appeared packaged  in love at first sight, Robert Mollett.  In which they got married on October 12, 1985, and they enjoyed a relationship of wedded bliss for 39 years and 2 months!  Through the peaks and valleys they remained married and true”.  Tina started her long time career with J C Penny’s Hair Salon then she moved to Eclipse Hair and Nail Salon, both in Monroeville.  Where she worked until became ill in February 2024.  Tina eventually slowed to part-time.  This enabled Tina to spend even more time with her besties Debbie Miller and Denise Ware…etc at home family functions and other public gatherings.  Tina will always be known as energetic and fun loving.  Tina and Robert enjoyed concerts, cruises, and getaways to Mountaineer Casino and Resort..CHING CHING Tina and Rob always knew these blessings and they lived their vows. Tina is now resting comfortably in God’s Heavenly Abode… with them and all other God’s children, saints, and ministering angels for eternity.  Tina had a well lived life with Robert Mollett, husband, best friend, and love of her life. Thanks to all relatives, and friends, who meant so much to  her in life and now celebrating her receiving God’s greatest gift to all humanity, salvation and everlasting life.

Friends received Thursday, December 19, 2024, 4pm til 7pm at the Rose Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10940 Fransktown Road, where service will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11am.
