Sandra Collier

On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, Sandra Lynn Collier, Daughter of the late James & Naomi Collier and sister of 5 siblings, passed away at the age of 70.
Affectionately called “Sondy”, everybody knew that you could always find her wherever “Mommy” was. They loved doing EVERYTHING together! Especially outings to “THE RED LOBSTER” to enjoy a strawberry daiquiri! They watched the “stories” together and there was no greater love than the bond they shared.
She loved animals and when she was younger she helped tend to the family pets; Suzette and Snowball. She also was a good caregiver to her many nieces and nephews and would help out babysitting and taking care of them at any time.
She loved to read and read the newspaper daily. She read the current updates but she always went to the “funnies” section and caught up on the latest comics.
She also LOVED music and anytime a song came on she knew, you would see her tapping a toe, clapping her hands and if it got real good to her… she would even get up and cut a rug! Unbeknownst too many… Sondy could sing!!! Well… at least carry a tune! There was an annual Christmas gathering at her last residence Woodhaven Care Center and when the caroler’s would come to bless the residents, she would sing-a-long right with the choir.
She also was an avid movie buff and anytime anyone was going to “the show” she was quick to go get her coat to join them.
She was known throughout the land for her quick wit, ability to check you in a second and she didn’t smile often… but when she did it was infectious and made you want to smile too! In all actuality she was a kind and compassionate spirit.
Sandra has 5 siblings to cherish her memory Carolyn, Darlene, Cynthia, Gregory and Jacqueline. Also. nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and various family relatives
