Age 88 of Squirrel Hill, and wife of the late Nathan T. Melamed, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2018. She is survived by her sons, Peter and Paul; and her grandchildren, Nathan and Joseph, whom she loved very much. She was born in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania on January 19, 1930. She attended Northfield School for Girls and the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University). She received a Master of Library Science from the University of Pittsburgh. After graduate school, she worked at the Science and Technology Department of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. She loved folk dancing and travel. A celebration of her life will be announced.
