Kaylan “KK” Landry

Kaylan was beautiful inside and out.  Her kindness and smile will never be forgotten. Kaylan was born in Burbank, CA to the late James Peter Landry Sr. and Shelly Landry, who adored her.  She was their sunshine.  She spent the first five years of her life in pink. Kaylan attended Penn Hills High School and Connelley Tech. She received her High School Diploma and attended classes at Carlow College.  “KK” worked at Arby’s and she loved working with people and they loved her. As a child, her parents knew early on that she was blessed with a God Given gift to sing.  She sang from the age of 2 until her passing.  She was a real songbird.  Kaylan sang in church, and as a teenager, she performed in many talent shows and fairs.  She would also put her talents to good work at hospitals, singing for Veterans and cancer patients. Kaylan’s voice attracted the attention of the late Tim Bassett, who was the director on Bassett Big Band.  She performed with the band for many gigs.  Kaylan loved poetry, reading, music and life; all of them to the fullest. On December 13, 2002, Kaylan gave birth to her only child, Naythaniel James Landry-Webb, who she loved dearly.  Naythaniel inherited his mother’s talent.  He has been blessed with her musical gifts.  He is lyrically talented and is using his gifts to become a rising local Pittsburgh rapper. Kaylan will be truly missed.  She will be remembered for her charming personality, beauty, voice, struggles and her smile. She is well received in Heaven. Kaylan leaves behind her mother, Shelly Landry; her son, Naythaniel James Landry-Webb, and a countless number of family members and friends.
