Eleanor Booker

Eleanor Heard Dawson/Booker was born on January 9, 1936 in Tignall, Georgia to Ethel Heard (deceased). She fell asleep in death on Friday, June 5, 2020. Early Years: Eleanor lived in Georgia and then she moved to Cleveland the late 50’s. Later she met James Dawson and then she got married. They raised four girls, Celestine Taylor (deceased) Cynthia Dean (Berry), Carol Thompson, Carmella Smith. Also extended family with brothers & sisters Felix Dawson (deceased) Dwayne Dawson (Carol), Earnestine Dawson, Denise Dawson/Jones (Kenny). Eleanor & James Dawson began to study the Bible with Jehovah Witnesses. They got baptized and dedicated their lives to Jehovah. Later James Dawson (deceased) in 1979. Many years later Eleanor re-married to George Booker (deceased) in 1982. The blended family with: Winner Love, Trudy Rosser, Valerie Sowell, George Booker Jr.   Eleanor wanted to finish her education, she took courses and passes the State Department of Education in 1981, receiving her GED.   Special Moments: Mom loved talking to others about Jehovah. She loved the brothers and sisters and they shared many good times together.  Eleanor was kind and loving to everyone. She enjoyed letter writing with her friends at the Kingdom Hall.   She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat with friends and family. She loved to cook & bake for her family. Everyone loved her chocolate cake and banana pudding. Berry  loved her liver and onions for dinner-that she would cook  just for him when we came to Pittsburgh.   Carmella: I will always remember the great times we had. The yeast rolls she made from scratch(hummie). Mom was sweet, kind, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She would always help her family. I will miss her smile and hugs…the memories will always be dear to my heart.   The Grandkids and Great Grandkids was a source of joy to Eleanor.   Saniya: I just wanted to tell you that I love you and there is not one day that I wish that things were different.  I remember that we would talk, laugh, and you would always help me. I love you and I loved your smile.   Grandchildren: Mark Gay, Markisha Gay, Marcel Gay, Cletus Lee, Chian Lee (deceased) Terrance Smith, Tyra Smith, Tenee Smith, Berry V Dean Jr., Javon Dean, Jasmine Dean, George Booker IV, Andwele Booker, Sean Sowell, Shandara Barriento, Brandon Booker, Patrina Booker, Shandia Booker.   Great-Grand Children: Jaylynn Tarpley, Saniya Green, Anilah Lee, Taylor Archer, Royal Gay, Mariah Gay, Aaminah Maldonado, Dominio Matthews.
