James was 87, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Carolyn Goins; beloved father of Victor Goins, Monica Tyler, Mark (Kim) Goins, and Christina (Mark) Thomas; grandfather of Maurice Goins, Mia Thomas, and Mark Thomas, Jr.; brother of Gloria Earlene Bland; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Friends received Wednesday 3-7 p.m. at RAPP FUNERAL HOME, 10940 Frankstown Rd., Pgh., PA 15235 and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. at the Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, 2110 Andrews Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15221.
