Alexander Rodriguez

ALEXANDER FONTES HARTH RODRIGUEZ
Beloved and cherished son of Francisco J. Rodriguez and Laura Harth Rodriguez, passed away on the morning of February 18, 2025, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The cause of death was a sudden heart attack with complications from pneumonia.
An accomplished recording engineer, whose work included the Metropolitan Opera Summer in the Parks concerts, MTV Video Music Awards and sundry studio recordings, Alex was an accomplished pianist who excelled in classical music. Alex’s keen appreciation and understanding of varied musical genres were key elements in his life and inspired joy in his family and friends.
Alex’s wit and humor were legendary and were offset by a genuine love of people and commitment to helping others. To that end, he was led to the Healthcare industry, where he was currently employed as a Patient Care Technician. He excitedly planned to enter nursing school in the fall.
Alex was a devoted animal lover and advocate for adoption and rescue. He adopted his beloved dog, ” Gucci” at a local shelter and they enjoyed an inseparable presence that will always remain a constant reminder of Alex’s gentle soul.
Alex is survived by his parents, Francisco Javier Rodriguez and Laura Harth Rodriguez; and a multitude of loving and loyal friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the medical team at West Penn for their valiant lifesaving efforts and helpful support.
There will be a private family Service only at Homewood Cemetery
