Laselles George Crumbie was born on July 4, 1934, in Hanover, St James, Jamaica, to the late Roslyn Gayle and Nehemiah Crumbie. 

From his childhood as an immigrant adolescent through his adulthood, Lascelles displayed resilience, hard work, and a tenacious spirit which ultimately led him to his beloved wife Sandra Crumbie. The two married on December 30, 1972, and together migrated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they built their life and children. Lascelles worked as a truck driver for over 40 years up until his retirement later in his life. Throughout these years, he took immense pride in his family and treasured the relationships he has built around him. Becoming a grandfather and great-uncle, which truly brought him bliss more than anything in this world, he treasured the many memories and experiences shared with his loved ones. To know Lascelles was to know a man who valued his friends and family above all else. Through his presence he has touched so many people with his wisdom, strength, determination, and charismatic charm. On September 21, 2026, the Lord called him home to be reunited with his mother, father, and siblings. In his passing, remember him as a true general who fought a great fight, finished his journey and left behind a beautiful, long-lasting legacy.

 Lascelles is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Crumbie, followed by his beloved children, Loxley Crumbie, David Crumbie, Andrea Crumbie, Cheryl Crumbie, Wayne Crumbie, Christopher Crumbie, Andrea Wynter, Gary Malcolm, and Jason Crumbie. Lascelles also leaves behind a host of grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, and nephews, along with loving friends throughout his life.

Rest in heavenly peace, Lascelles. You fought a great fight, and your legacy will never be forgotten. May God bless you.
