Age 85, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025. Son of the late Alex and Leona Smith. Beloved husband of Rose Smith. Devoted father of Dana Smith, James P. (Ni’mat) Smith II, Wynona Chapman Bey, Shanell (Jerry) Washington and the late James P. Smith, Jr. Brother of Qwendolyn Ciffelli, Marion Smith-Reynoso and the late Alex Smith and Carl Lee Smith. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Friends received Monday, April 7, 2025, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at ROSE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 10940 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
